We’ll start our ride at Sveinsstaðir farm and ride down the valleys of Skagafjörður until we come to Kiðaskarð where we’ll follow and old trail through the mountains over to Svartárdalur valley.
Overnight at Húnaver guesthouse.

Today we follow river Svartá (the black river) and then across the heathlands of the northwest to Blöndudalur valley, with nice trails all day.
We’ll end the ride near lake Svinavatn and head back to our accommodation at Húnaver.

We’ll ride down the valley Svínadalur towards lake Húnavatn, wich we cross at an adventurous crossing. It’s pretty deep water, but our destination is right at the other side in case anyone gets a bit wet!

We’ll have an adventurous day ahead when we cross lake Hóp at a crossing spanning over 2 km in the water! It’s shallow, so we’ll ride the lake more or less in flying tölt with splashing water on both sides! Overnight at Laugarbakki guesthouse with hot pool aside.

On this last day of the entire Dragon tour we’ll ride towards Borgarvirki, a huge rock formation considered to be an old natural fortress from the age of the Vikings. We’ll ride along lake Vesturhópsvatn and across river Miðfjarðará and then follow riverbanks and nice trails all the way to our final destination at our western base Reynhólar. Sure we will have a good farewell party at Laugarbakki guesthouse in the evening, celebrating the journey and the whole adventure!

After breakfast we’ll drive back to Reykjavík with our private bus
